Who is this retreat for?

The Mediterranean Life LLC retreats are for anyone who wishes to enjoy the best of Tuscany in a healthy setting.  Participants should be medically and physically fit for travel and the ability to participate in activities.

What is included in the cost of the retreat?

Almost everything!  We will pick you up from the airport and/or train station at a scheduled time and bring you to the villa.  Your room with private bath and access to the villa grounds and internet is included along with healthy meals, snacks, biodynamic wine and excursions (guides, tickets, transportation, restaurant meals).  Your scheduled transportation to the airport and/or train station on your day of departure from the retreat is also included.  Airfare is not included.

How will I get to the retreat?

You are responsible for your air travel and we recommend that you fly into Pisa or Florence airport or take the train to the Lucca train station from your final destination.  From there we will pick you up!  We offer one pick-up time for the group at the airport or train station of your choice.  On the day of your departure, we will arrange one group trip to the airport or train station prior to the check-out time for the villa. If an individual’s travel times fall outside of the group’s pick-up and drop-off times, we can help arrange for individual transportation at the traveler’s expense.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE that all guests purchase travel insurance to cover medical expenses, baggage, accident, loss or damage to property, cancellation and curtailment, personal liability, legal expenses and emergency. Travel insurance has proven very useful to some guests but is even more important during these uncertain times with COVID-19.

How much does the retreat cost?

The cost of the retreat depends on the itinerary that you select. This will be discussed during our planning sessions.

How do I pay for the retreat?

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to book the reservation. The balance of the cost is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Payment can be made through direct transfer of funds, check or PayPal (with surcharge).

What happens if I need to cancel the retreat?

You will need to cancel your reservation by e-mail to the following email address:  mediterraneanliferetreats@gmail.com. If the cancellation is received before 8 weeks of arrival, you will be reimbursed the amount minus the non-refundable deposit.  If the cancellation is received within 8 weeks of the retreat date, no amount of the program price is refundable.  Again, we strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance for unforeseen circumstances.

Is the site of the retreat wheelchair accessible?

Mediterranean Life LLC is dedicated to serving all levels of ability whenever possible. The villas that we contract have a rich history dating back to before the use of wheelchairs, however a few have retrofitted their location to allow for wheelchair access.
