Indulge yourself in a week-long wine-tasting experience with your own personal sommelier. Let us organize visits to the best wineries in each region, reserve your meals at the most exclusive restaurants and take care of your transportation so that you can relax in safety and comfort!
Return home an expert on Tuscan wines. Dr. Bruce Reyes is an AIS-sommelier and accompanies your group while offering knowledge of the wine region, soil, climate and subtleties of each wine. You will visit each of the wine regions listed below…
Chianti—home of the Chianti Classico
Take a trip to Chianti to taste the best of Chianti Classico. Visit three wineries to tour and taste. Eat lunch at the famous Mad Butcher of Panzano. Enjoy artisan boutiques in the attractive medieval village of Greve in Chianti. Reflect upon the day’s discoveries while enjoying dinner overlooking the valley of Chianti.
Bolgheri—The Super Tuscan Wines
Travel down the famous cypress-lined road of Bolgheri to discover the Super Tuscan wines at their finest. Enjoy a tasting-menu lunch at the home of Sassacaia.
San Gimignano—the original DOC wine
The medieval village of San Gimignano is not only known for its beauty, but also for having created the first DOC wine—the mineral-rich Vernaccia. Taste wines in this region and experience the cobble-stone roads of this famous hilltop village.
Cinque Terre—UNESCO World Heritage Site
You will enjoy the local wines grown on the rugged steeply-terraced cliffs of the Cinque Terre that produce a delicate white wine from the indigenous grapes. Visit the colorful coastal villages and pair the wines with a local fresh fish and pesto lunch—this is where pesto originates and the wine evolved together with the local foods.
Lucca—off the beaten wine track
Taste local organic/biodynamic wines in the birthplace of Puccini. This Sangiovese-based wine will be a refreshing discovery.
Carmignano—the wine of the Medici
The Medici planted Cabernet Savignon and Cabernet Franc in the rolling hills of Carmignano, just west of Florence. Taste these excellent Cabernet wines and their very interesting blends.
Cyclists know that the best way to see the countryside is with your feet on the pedals. Tuscany is the perfect place to stretch your legs and get an eyeful of some of the most beautiful rolling hills in the world. The hilly landscape makes for interesting rides—in fact many professional cycling teams are based in Lucca for this very reason! From the medieval hilltop villages, Mediterranean shores, the Apuan Alps to the marble quarries of Carrara you can choose your level of difficulty and type of bike (including ebikes!). Our professional cycling guide and support crew are dedicated to assisting your group on this spectacular cycling adventure. This will be paired with amazing and bountiful local foods and wines. Ride hard, eat and drink well, sleep deep and repeat!
